His unique background includes translation, e-commerce, startup creation, and currently working as a Web Marketing Manager at a foreign IT company. He has been fostering the concept of Apriori.Art since 2019 and is excited to finally realize this opportunity. He favors origami works featuring birds and winged creatures.
Origami coordinator and artist. Contributed to the authorship of “Hajimete no Muzukashii Origami (Difficult Origami for Beginners)” published by KADOKAWA. Based primarily in Kansai, he serves as the leader of the origami artist team within Apriori.Art. He bonded with Kano over a shared vision for the development of the origami industry, leading to the launch of the project. His notable works include Pokémon origami that pursues authentic origami forms.
Public Relations & Communications lead, with roots in Singapore. She engaged in art activities and exhibitions during university and still shares her photographic works on Instagram. After graduation, she worked in planning and executing PR strategies at a comprehensive PR firm. She joined Apriori.Art due to her interest in commercializing art activities and her resonance with the project’s vision. She is currently studying origami.
Studied abroad in Canada, then worked in SEO and content creation at multiple advertising agencies. She bonded with Kano (a former colleague) over a shared personality type (MBTI) and mutual views on SEO, leading her to join the Apriori.Art project. Currently at the “paper crane level” (her words), but excels at self-learning and is diligently studying origami.
Responsible for Corporate Partnerships and Business Development at Apriori.Art. He previously worked at a corporate turnaround consulting firm, specializing in management support, business development, and talent cultivation/placement. His motto is to enter the field to collaboratively build businesses, talent, and organizations. His origami skill level is currently unknown.
A specialist in Japanese cultural public relations. She has 10 years of experience in Omotesenke Tea Ceremony and Koryu Enso School Ikebana (flower arrangement). She holds a junior master certificate in Samurai etiquette (Buke Reihou). An English/Japanese bilingual, she is a US high school graduate and holds a degree in PR/Media from Tokai University. She has worked as a TV scriptwriter, published a UN-supervised refugee picture book, and handles writing/drawing activities. She was awarded the Chiba City Arts and Culture Newcomer Encouragement Prize. Previously worked as a diplomat at the Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu. She oversees the education division at Apriori.Art, promoting international collaboration centered on origami and updating its global perception as a cultural form.
Origami artist, Higashi Katsukawa. Born in 1998 in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, where he still resides. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo and is a 10th-generation member of the Todai Origami Club “Orist.” As an artist, he pursues the expansion and essence of “folding” through materials like metal and abstract forms. Concurrently, leveraging his lifelong passion for origami and experience making tutoring unnecessary, he promotes origami as an inquiry-based educational tool to foster cognitive and non-cognitive skills. He serves as an executive at Kashiwanoha Art Innovation School and is a certified instructor of the Japan Origami Association. Author of “Hajimete no Muzukashii Origami (Difficult Origami for Beginners)” (KADOKAWA).
A mystery designer, Nazotoki creator, and graphic designer. After quitting his first job out of university, he gained experience as a designer at a Nazotoki production company led by Ryogo Matsumaru, before becoming independent. He single-handedly manages planning, production, and design, and continuously publishes “A Problem to End the Day Right” on social media every night at 11 PM. He has handled various PR projects, including corporate tie-ups, and published his first book, “Gas Lamp: A Problem to End the Day Right,” in 2024. At Apriori.Art, he aims to fuse visual design with Nazotoki (puzzle-solving) elements to create new origami × puzzle experiences, expanding the appeal of origami culture to a wider audience.
He discovered origami in the US during his childhood. After moving to Japan 20 years ago, he became deeply immersed in the world of origami. As a native English-speaking marketer, he has over 10 years of experience in SEO and content creation on the web, specializing in editing and copywriting. He has achieved success in both domestic and international workplaces by utilizing various digital tools. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Music Business. As a co-founder of Apriori.Art, he leads the media strategy for English-speaking audiences, striving to fuse origami with digital marketing to connect creators and fans worldwide.
